PRICING: The listed PRICE is per unit in U.S. dollars. Gym/physical education/dance directors, coaches or club authorized purchasers will be granted the CLUB PRICE when listed. Large volume orders (over $1000) may qualify for an additional discount off AMAYA, CLASSIC or SASAKI products. Should an internet purchase order not reflect a discount offered, the invoice will adjust the pricing after the order is placed. POSTAGE/HANDLING/INSURANCE: Charges will be added to orders. The postage guide indicates approximate charges for UPS ground delivery in 48 states. Charges for rush processing, non-standard ground or remote areas, open account orders or purchase orders may vary. UPS insurance: 65 cents per $100 coverage.

ORDER CHANGES are possible. There may be an added processing charge if billing has already been processed or re-packing is required.

DELIVERY: Approx. 7-15 days or less from receipt of confirmed order. Rush next day or two-three day orders should be called in.

PAYMENT: Orders indicating check will be shipped upon receipt of payment. New orders may require 7-10 days for check clearance.

PURCHASE ORDERS: School/National organization Written, authorized signature stating Net 30 days + postage additional. ( Min. postage/handling charge)

RETURNS/EXCHANGES: Unused or defective items within 30 days with authorization. Shipping charges are not refunded. Inspect your apparatus before using it. Durability is not a reason for return, as some styles give up degrees of durability in order to achieve either a different look or a better manipulative quality. Authorized returns for credit on file will have no re-stocking fee if in brand new “unopened” condition. A return for check refund, charge card credit or an unauthorized exchange will incur a processing fee. Shoe exchanges must be authorized. Contact us for procedure. Shoes that have been “pivoted” on are not returnable. Please try shoes on briefly for “fit” with a stocking and on a clean rug.

UNUSUAL OCCURRENCES: Damaged package Write “damaged” next to your signature at time of delivery, save original package and notify us immediately.

PRICING/STYLES: Prices quoted are subject to change without notice due to factory, exchange rate, postage increases. Styles may vary slightly in size, color, shading or texture due to ongoing factory changes. If unity for group work is required, inform us in writing.

WARNING: Apparatus use without proper training and supervised conditions and environment suitable for rhythmic gymnastic work could have dangerous or catastrophic results and should not be undertaken.

DETERMINING HOOP SIZE: Measure distance from the floor to the hipline of the standing gymnast. Then measure distance from the floor to waist. Height of hoop should fall between these two measurements.

DETERMINING CLUB SIZE: Measure the middle of gymnast’s palm straight up the forearm to the start of the muscle (bump) of the shoulder. Club length should not exceed this measurement.
SHOE SIZING: Guidelines are general. They may not apply to all gymnasts.

Plastic balls, hoop, etc. should not be left in excessive temperatures (hot cars, etc.) or pressurized environments, as they may lose shape. Rubber balls are more durable. The surface coating on some ball styles may wear within a few months, depending on use. Surface durability is not guaranteed. Work on carpeted surfaces for longer wear. Balls are generally shipped inflated; some CLASSIC ball styles may be shipped deflated.

Rhythmic Gymnastics – The Beginnings – The Sport and the Company
In 1969, the President of the United States Gymnastics Federation (USGF), Frank Bare, requested Mildred Prchal of Illinois to learn more about the new sport called Modern Rhythmic Gymnastics, that was developing throughout Europe, in order to begin organizing it in the United States. Mrs. Prchal made plans to attend the 1969 World Championships and asked Nora Campbell of Illinois if she would be interested to accompany her.

In the early 1970′s, Mrs. Prchal started recruiting persons with a background in rhythmic exercise and organized a camp at Sokol Barryville, NY with the purpose of teaching Rhythmic Gymnastics, the sport, to professionals in the United States. One of the clinicians at this camp was Maria Bakos, former national Rhythmic Gymnastics coach of Hungary. Among the persons attending were Norma Zabka of NY and Nora Campbell.

After this camp, several attendees started Rhythmic classes at their schools. In the Eastern United States, Maria Bakos started the first classes in competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics at the American Sokol Organization in Little Ferry, New Jersey in 1971 and Norma Zabka began classes at Hunter College in New York City.

One of the attendees at the Little Ferry classes was Ellen Garlicki, an artistic gymnast from the American Sokol Organization. Ms. Garlicki was captivated by the sport, became a competitor at the first Regional and National competitions, and continued a competitive career through the late 1970′s when she became a member of the First USA Group Team and participated at the 1979 World Championships. During her competitive career, sources for apparatus were scarce. At the 1976 Nationals, Ellen’s wooden hoop did not meet the standard apparatus regulations and her ribbon was found to be too short. After competing with another competitor’s spare ribbon, which was one meter too long, and having to adjust the hoop on the morning of competition to meet regulations, Ellen realized that apparatus sources were inadequate, and as a result, she decided to work at improving the situation. By 1979 she established an apparatus supply company called Rhythmic Gymnastics Ltd., later incorporated, and Rhythmic Gymnastics Inc. continues serving the needs of rhythmic competitors today.
